For the education center at Mount Vernon, George Washington’s homestead in Virginia, large-scale tableaus of graphics, props, and recreated environments immerse visitors in scenes from Washington’s life and career.
Text panels are organized in a descending hierarchy of titles and subtitles, inspired by the typography of political publications of the era. Ghosted background images mimic the watermark tax stamps that helped spark a revolution.
